Riga will host the international innovation summit Drone Summit 2025

Ministry of Defence would like to invite everyone who might find this event relevant to visit the official webpage of defence innovation summit Drone Summit 2025 at www.dronesummit.lv. Website contains recent news and key information about the event.

International defence innovation summit will be held on 28th of May this year at the ATTA CENTRE event centre. It is a platform for future decisions and stakeholder discussions, and it is expected to lead to new defence innovation projects and more advanced regional defence capabilities. 

Drone Summit is a one-day event that will bring together high-level political leaders, military experts, researchers and industry players from member states of the Drone Coalition, who will use this platform to discuss global security and challenges of modern warfare.  

Please remember that participation in the drone summit is limited and it is an invitation-only event. If you find the event relevant and would like to take part, please send the confirmation of your interest to info@dronesummit.lv to register.

Organisers will carefully scrutinise all applications and will select registered participants that will match the content and security level of the event. Organisers have the right to decline your participation. Approved participants will receive a confirmation e-mail.

As reported earlier, Latvia, in collaboration with the United Kingdom, has launched an international drone coalition. Since its founding in 2024, Latvia has already supplied Ukraine with more than 5 000 combat drones of various types and capabilities. Meanwhile, the total contribution of the Coalition’s member states towards Ukraine’s drone capabilities reached 1.8 billion euro in 2024.

Drone coalition  consists of 18 official member states that have signed the Letter of Intent: Latvia, the United Kingdom, Australia, Czechia, Denmark, France, Estonia, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Ukraine, Germany and Sweden.
